    There are many things
that make credit unions
like Peach State stand
out in the community.
Our dedication to providing excellent member service extends to the communities we serve.
Here’s some of the “good stuff” we’ve been up to...
$25,000 Donation
to Area Food Banks
In April, Peach State donated $25,000 to local food banks to assist with the increased need brought on due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Each of the following organizations received $2,500 to provide food and essential supplies to those in need:
• Area Churches Together Serving – Bogart, Georgia
• Chattooga County Community Services – Summerville, Georgia • Food Bank of Greenwood County – Greenwood, South Carolina • Golden Harvest Food Bank – Augusta, Georgia
• Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministries – Lawrenceville, Georgia
• Lilburn Cooperative Ministries – Lilburn, Georgia
• Nigel’s Nest Food Pantry at University of North Georgia –
Watkinsville, Georgia
• Towns County Food Pantry – Young Harris, Georgia
The credit union also made a $5,000 contribution to Nothing But the Truth in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This organization supports students and their families through their ministry center and their weekend food bags for children who participate in the free/reduced lunch program at their schools.
More than $154,000
in Scholarships
Awarded
In May, we announced the winners of over $154,000 in scholarships and educational grants
to members and students throughout our service area. Since 2002, Peach State has awarded almost $1.5 million through its scholarship program to students and career professionals seeking to further their education. Thank you to everyone who submitted an application and congratulations to all of the recipients!
ROUND UP &Save)
What’s the first thought that comes to mind when you’re trying to save money? For many of us, it’s wondering how challenging it will be to save with all the other expenses that we’re faced with. But saving money is one of the best habits to have. The question is, how do we get started? What if we started by saving all of the spare change we get back when we make a purchase and place it into an account where it can grow – sounds pretty great, right?
What if we told you Peach State offered a way to automatically save that spare change every day? Our VISA® Debit Card Round Up Program can help you grow your savings account. When you participate in the Round Up Program, every purchase you make with your VISA® Debit Card will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. The excess funds will be transferred to your Round Up Savings Account overnight.1
Start saving every day on every purchase – it’s that simple! To opt in simply call 678.889.4328 or toll-free at 855.889.4328, and let the savings begin!
1 A separate club account will automatically be opened when signing up for and using the VISA® Debit Card Round Up program.
