What is the minimum credit score requirement when applying for a home loan?

Peach State will review your loan application to determine what loan products are available based on your credit score.

As a general rule:

  • Conventional mortgages require a minimum credit score of 620
  • USDA requires a minimum credit score of 640
  • FHA and VA loan programs require a minimum credit score of 580

  • Credit scores vary between credit bureaus, so the score that you obtain on your own may be different from the score Peach State obtains. Credit scores differ based on the scoring model used and the information provided to each individual credit bureau.
