Where does the nickel for each purchase go?
Every year, Peach State supports more than 150 organizations in our service area, including non-profits, school systems and the arts. The money will be disbursed among these organizations and others as we grow.
Will I be charged a fee for participating in this program?
Members will not incur any additional fees or charges from the C.A.R.E.S. program.
Where does the nickel for each purchase come from?
The nickel will come from Peach State’s merchant interchange income from our Visa Debit Card program. Merchant interchange income comes from fees that a merchant or retailer pays to accept credit/debit card payments.
Can I specify where I would like the allocation to go?
The money will be used to benefit the communities that we serve. Peach State will determine where and how the funds are disbursed. You can view a list of organizations who have received a donation or sponsorship from Peach State here. If you would like to request a donation from Peach State, please complete the Sponsorship Request Form.
Will my name or confidential information be shared with the organizations who will benefit from the C.A.R.E.S. program?
No member information will be disclosed for the purpose of the C.A.R.E.S. program and it will not affect your account.
Do I need to opt-in to the C.A.R.E.S. program? Is there anything I need to do to participate?
Every Peach State Visa Debit Card is part of the C.A.R.E.S. program, regardless of the card design you currently have, so there’s no need to opt-in. The only thing you need to do to participate is to use your Peach State Visa Debit Card for every purchase!
When will I receive the new card so I can start helping?
You will receive the new card design when your current card expires, but don’t worry – you’re still showing that you care if you have the original card design!
Is my Peach State Visa Debit Card secure?
Featuring EMV security, your Peach State Visa Debit Card is one card that you can carry with confidence! EMV security is microchip technology that creates a unique transaction code at the point of sale, every time you use your card. This prevents your card or PIN number from being stored in that merchant’s terminal and significantly reduces your risk of fraud.
