Summary
To perform a variety of functions in the Card Services/E-Commerce Department including but not limited to: Fraud/Merchant Disputes, ATM coordination, ATM reconciliation, Shared Branching, Return Deposited Items (RDI), Mobile Check Deposits, Bill Payments, Mobile Banking, On-Line Banking, ATM/DEBIT and VISA Card production and maintenance, VISA settlement, VISA balance transfers, merchant and fraud disputes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Process one or more of the following within the timeframe required (not limited to just these items): Research and process Adjustments.
- Card orders, bill payment enrollments, mobile check deposit enrollments, debit cards including adjustments as necessary, change of addresses for various products, voice PIN selections, debit card/ATM reconciliation, shared branch reconciliation, and VISA settlement reconciliation. Research problems or questions from members, or fellow employees.
- Communicate with members or associates concerning transactions involving accounts.
- Maintains files and required documentation.
- Completes daily metrics.
Performance Measurements
- Carryout assigned responsibilities meeting all deadlines with respect to settlement activities, with minimum errors that result in losses to the Credit Union, in accordance with established departmental guidelines and regulations. All errors should be resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide friendly, informed, professional, accurate service and support to all members and associates.
- Complete assigned processes with limited errors while meeting required deadlines and policies.
- Produce required reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve members and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience | One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education | A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills | Normal courtesy in dealing with others is required. Work involves minimal contacts within the organization. Contact involves routine, non-sensitive issues. Member or vendor contact is limited to incidental contact.

Summary
The Senior Vice President of Consumer Lending is responsible for the daily operations of the loan department including the Loan by Phone Center, Underwriting and Loan Operations. The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Consumer Lending is a member of the credit union’s senior management team, reporting to the Chief Lending Officer. As a leader for the lending department, the SVP of Lending must have extensive knowledge of consumer and real estate lending with strong underwriting skills. The SVP of Lending will participate in strategic planning and further development of credit union policies, procedures, and goals offering recommendations to the Chief Lending Officer.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Direct and monitor lending operations, through subordinate managers/supervisors, to ensure the Credit Union meets established goals and objectives with respect to lending. Monitors product delivery and quality and takes action to resolve problems. Provides training, guidance and performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Examines, evaluates, authorizes or recommends approval or denial of member loan applications.
- Prepares department scheduling, periodic loan department updates, and periodic reports for management's financial and operational reports (monthly, quarterly and annual reports). Completes HMDA, and GA Residential Reporting.
- Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for and implements lending program policy and strategy. Recommend changes to rates, underwriting standards, policies and procedures.
- Works with internal and external auditors on reviews of the consumer lending portfolio. Ensures policy guidelines are followed.
- Facilitates professional relationships with any and all vendors specific to the processing of loans to include appraisers, attorneys, insurance companies, etc.
- Attend meetings and report on assigned areas of responsibility.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements
- Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily department demand and long-term organizational goals.
- Ensure the department is providing friendly, professional, timely, and personal service to all members.
- Implements loan promotions and communicates new programs and changes to policies to ensure all lending activity is within established policies and regulations.
- Keep management informed regarding key operational issues affecting the department.
- Establish and achieve management development objectives for individual managers.
- Note observations of employee performance. Give and receive feedback from employees on the same, completing performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience | Ten years to fifteen years of similar or related experience.
Education | (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills | Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivation, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills | Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting lending programs.
