Summary:

Assist members with their financial transactions while providing friendly, accurate, and timely service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments as directed by the member.
  • Post transactions to member accounts.
  • Welcome members to the branch and provide information about credit union services; direct members to the appropriate person/department to obtain specific information and services.
  • Cross sell credit union products and services.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering the phone.
  • Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • Provide friendly, professional, personalized service to members.
  • Ability to handle at least 100 transactions per day.
  • Process transactions accurately.
  • Balance cash drawer daily with minimal or no outages. 
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and credit union policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience | One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Education | A high school diploma or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills | Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.  Work involves significant interaction with others inside and outside of the organization to provide or obtain information, facilitate conversations, solicit cooperation, and build relationships.

Summary:

Effectively collaborate with team members and other key stakeholders to identify employee training and development needs. Design, write and deliver training, programs that support the culture and strategic goals of the Credit Union. This position focuses on improving employee productivity and efficiency and the overall development of all employees regardless of position or tenure. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others as well as serve as a role model of the credit union's Internal Core Values.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates new employee orientation sessions and on-the-job training, including use of computers and software; conducts training in marketing techniques, health and safety practices, and refresher and upgrading training. Minimal travel required.
  • Assists in designing, writing and delivering employee training programs that support the Credit Union's Internal Core Values and strategic goals. Utilizes current instructional methods and techniques for individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, and workshops.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of lending, member service, products and services, teller services, and branch operations. Assists in the development of procedural manuals and related materials used in conjunction with training programs.
  • Ensures employees apply classroom training accurately and consistently once in their primary role by assisting with on-the-job training. Identify/develop solutions for procedural inconsistencies, thus creating a more consistent member experience throughout the credit union.
  • Heavily involved in the merger/conversion process as it pertains to training merged employees on all Peach State policies/procedures, systems and equipment, with an emphasis on culture adoption. This will involve being part of a travel rotation to new locations that may require overnight stays (up to four nights maximum per trip).
  • Collaborates on the planning, coordination and facilitation of the Credit Union's annual Professional Development Day.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate record of all training courses and participation using the designated tracking database.
  • Completes required reports and documents; attends meetings as required.
  • Continually improve training effectiveness by researching and developing new techniques, programs and industry trends.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

Performance Measurements:

  • To carry out assigned responsibilities according to established department standards.
  • Must have good presentation/teaching skills, be comfortable in making presentations to small and large groups.
  • To meet all training objectives and goals established for the year.
  • To maintain a basic understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies and procedures, as well an understanding of the Credit Union's mission.
  • To complete reports and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To relate any problems in training effectiveness to the supervisor, making recommendations to resolve them.
  • To provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience | Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education |1) An Associate's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent or prior (3-5 years) relevant experience. 
  • Interpersonal Skills | Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills:

  • Ability to build and cultivate strong professional relationships and have the ability to interact with people at all levels in organizations, both internal and external, through effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Must be able to operate related computer software and business equipment including 10-key, telephone, smart board, overhead projector, and related training aids.

Summary:

To assist members with their loan applications; process and make loan disbursements: sets up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Takes member loan applications and prepares them for review by a Loan Officer. Follows up with the Loan Officer to determine status. Processes approved loans and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.
  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
  • Cross-sells Credit Union products and services to members.
  • Answer’s member phone calls.
  • Scans loan documents with the appropriate agencies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • To produce loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with zero errors.
  • To close, organize and complete member loan files within 3 business days.
  • To process loan requests in the system so that we may have an answer within 24 hours of receipt.
  • To maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's loan standards and governmental regulations.
  • To cross sell credit union products and services.
  • To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
  • To provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members. (To assist members waiting in the lobby within five minutes; To answer telephone within 4 rings; To respond to all correspondence within the same day).
  • To develop and improve knowledge and skills in Member Service Areas.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience | One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Actively promotes and participates in a sales and service culture consistent with the credit union’s products and services available to our members. Provides working leadership and guidance to tellers through assignment of duties and by providing technical guidance.

  • Supervise teller staff, assisting in the coaching, training and the development of tellers.
  • Assists tellers in solving member problems, serving as an operational reference.
  • Assist tellers with balancing as needed.
  • Order and maintain vault, ATM and branch cash.
  • Schedule lunch breaks for all teller personnel.
  • Make decisions as appropriate and within authority guidelines.
  • Refer and cross-sell credit union products and services.
  • Accurate completion of required audit logs.
  • Enforce all security procedures.
  • Audit ATM on a monthly basis as well as cash drawers, according to policy.
  • Research and locate teller losses.
  • Research and resolve member questions or issues.
  • Responsible for maintenance and security of all negotiable instruments stored in the branch.
  • Assist branch manager with any other duties, as assigned.
  • Work overtime if needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • High School Diploma/ equivalency required.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Two years prior teller experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong math, communication and keyboarding skills required.

Summary:

To assist members and potential members with their telephone requests; explains services, responds to problems, and directs phone calls to the appropriate area.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include performing a wide variety of sales and service transactions requested by phone, fax, or email, including but not limited to the following:

  • Answer incoming calls and assist members with account inquiries, review members accounts to identify and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Complete account research and perform data entry to update and maintain member records.
  • Solve problems accurately and follow through on resolutions.
  • Act as liaison between members and other credit union departments.
  • Work hand in hand with all back-office departments including: Operations, Loan Operations, Accounting, E-commerce/Card Services, Member Solutions.
  • Support and contribute to the success of the department by providing effective and efficient member services.
  • Navigate between multiple credit union systems (i.e., I-Power, Criterion, Client Workstation, etc.).
  • Must be willing to work two or more Saturdays a month.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior customer service experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Ability to provide excellent member service over the phone/prior call center experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to cross-sell products and services.
  • Must be well organized and attentive to details.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Bosnian) skills a plus.
