Full Time Teller - Panola Branch

Summary:

To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and gift cards to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Post transactions to member accounts.
  • Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning products and services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information about products and services.
  • Balance cash drawer and transactions daily.
  • Cross-sells credit union products and services.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.
  • Other duties as assigned

Performance Measurements:

  • To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.
  • To balance at least 98% of the time, being no more then $25 off and with total offages not to exceed $500 in a 12 month period.
  • To handle at least 100 transactions per day.
  • To have no more than one posting error per month.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Skills: Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills: Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.

Loan Service Advisor - Corporate Office

Summary:

To complete loan closings through electronic signature. To assist members with their loan applications; process and make loan disbursements, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people. To back up processing and closing home equity applications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Takes member loan applications and prepares them for review by a Loan Officer. Follows up with the Loan Officer to determine status. Processes approved loan and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.
  • Completes Docusign loan closings for LBP and branches. Disburses closing packages through Docusign and ensures all documents are signed before disbursing the loan.
  • Cultivates relationships and responds to members and potential members who have home equity lending questions.
  • Supports Loan by Phone center as a backup when Specialists are out of the office or if call volume is high.
  • Files loan documents with the appropriate agencies. Facilitates professional relationships with any and all vendors specific to the processing of home equity loans to include appraisers, title companies, attorneys, insurance companies, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • To produce loan documents in a timely fashion, with zero errors.
  • To close, organize and complete member loan files within 3 business days.
  • To process loan request and have in the system so that we may have an answer within 24 hours of receipt.
  • To maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's loan standards and governmental regulations.
  • To cross sell credit union products and services.
  • To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
  • To provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members.
  • To develop and improve knowledge and skills in the Loan by Phone area.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: Must have good communication skills. 10-key calculator, typewriter and keyboard skills.

Member Service Advisor - Cornelia Branch

Summary:

To assist members with their loan applications; process and make loan disbursements: sets up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Takes member loan applications and prepares them for review by a Loan Officer. Follows up with the Loan Officer to determine status. Processes approved loans and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.
  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
  • Cross-sells Credit Union products and services to members.
  • Answers member phone calls.
  • Scans loan documents with the appropriate agencies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • To produce loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with zero errors.

  • To process loan requests in the system so that we may have an answer within 24 hours of receipt.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
