AVP Regional Manager - Augusta, GA/South Carolina Region

Role:

To direct the operations of a medium sized, remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service and growth plans. Has limited lending authority.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Directs, develops, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Serves as a liaison between branch staff and lending staff in regards to underwriting decisions.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintains communications with corporate; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • To meet or exceed annual budgeted operating and growth plan; maintain/improve the financial stability of the branch.
  • To maintain and develop a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of members.
  • To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the branch.
  • To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
  • To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.
  • To develop and maintain business partner relationships within the community and area schools.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Head Teller - Loganville Branch

Summary:

Coordinate and supervise all aspects of teller operations within the branch ensuring the daily
activities of the tellers are performed in a timely, accurate and courteous manner. Conducts
cash management for the branch, assisting the branch manager. Demonstrates knowledge of all
branch operational and security procedures. Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
are necessary. Actively promotes and participates in a sales and service culture consistent with
the credit union’s products and services available to our members. Provides working leadership
and guidance to tellers through assignment of duties and by providing technical guidance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise teller staff, assisting in the coaching, training and the d evelopment of tellers.
  • Assists tellers in solving member problems, serving as an operational reference.
  • Assist tellers with balancing as needed.
  • Order and maintain vault, ATM and branch cash.
  • Schedule lunch breaks for all teller personnel.
  • Make decisions as appropriate and within authority guidelines.
  • Refer and cross-sell credit union products and services.
  • Accurate completion of required audit logs.
  • Enforce all security procedures.
  • Audit ATM on a monthly basis as well as cash drawers, according to policy.
  • Research and locate teller losses.
  • Research and resolve member questions or issues.
  • Responsible for maintenance and security of all negotiable instruments stored in the branch
  • Assist branch manager with any other duties, as assigned.
  • Work overtime if needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • High School Diploma/ equivalency required.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Two years prior teller experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong math, communication and keyboarding skills required.

Float Teller - Cornelia Branch (North Georgia Area)

Role:

To insure members receive friendly, accurate, and timely assistance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Travels to/from various branches as needed for staff coverage.
  • Posts transactions to member accounts and maintains member records.
  • Cross-sells credit union services.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.
  • Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
  • Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • To maintain a high skill level among tellers, schedule tellers to meet member demand at a minimum of cost.
  • To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.
  • To balance at least 98% of the time, being no more than $25 off and with total offages not
  • To exceed $500 in a 12 month period.
  • To handle an average of at least 100 transactions per day.
  • To have no more than one posting error per month.
  • To successfully recommend a new product or service to 20% of all members you work with.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills: Must have good communication skills for training other tellers. 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills. Accurate with numbers and names.
